THE TOBAGO JIG .

       A vast array of daily activities took place .
          The first day entailed our first plenary session moderated by Dr Stephan Gift and was entitled ' What do we have ?' The first speakers were Mr. Mustafa Toure , Manager , Sustainable Development Unit Caricom Secretariat  and Dr. Avril Siung Chang ,Environmental Health Advisor , Pan American Health Organisation . These two avid speakers  addressed the topic 'Resources of the Caribbean Sea and their Economic Value.'Another speaker Mr. Kishan Kumarsingh, Technical Coordinator , Environmental Management Authority ,who elaborated on ' The effects of Climatic Changes on the Caribbean '
        Later during that same day Workshop Orientation occurred . The workshops conist of the groups Environmental Theatre , Information Technology , Community Interaction , Video Documentation and Science.
 

ENVIRONMENTAL THEATRE

These students decided to show their artistic talent by choreographing their own dance and skit about the sea and its environs. Soothing oceanic sounds and the sounds of the ocean pounding  against the surf  could be heard in the backgrond of this scenic skit. The participants showed their myriad talents by depicting various marine animals such as various  types of fish as well as plant life such as phytoplankton  .
 

INFORMATION THEATRE
Three members of the IT workgroup interviewed Mr. Dean Miliken from The Florida Institute of Oceanography. This is a summary of the information given by Mr. Miliken.
